Environmental Pollution Control System
With the growing number and stringency of regulatory requirements, P and M Solutions work with our clients for a strategic implementation of compliances and solutions. We use advanced technology and innovation approaches to help them solve the pollution problems with respect to air water and soil. Our panel of experts and trained professionals confront and address the pollution issues, providing the clients with applicable control measures. Our scientists assist in developing and validating air quality models, water and soil quality analysis and their pollution control. Our engineers help our clients implement cutting-edge strategies for controlling emissions.
We engage with our clients from the inception of the design phase of the project that includes strategy advices and work with them throughout the completion of the project and compliance solutions as well.
For the execution of an effective EIA, practical pollution control systems are vital. All projects – mining, construction, industries, highways etc. – impart in the emission of pollutants be it air, water, soil or noise.
The types of air pollutants emitted are divided into three groups:
Criteria air pollutants: these are the six common air pollutants which are carbon monoxide, particulate matter (PM), photochemical oxidants, nitrogen oxide, sulphur oxide and lead. These pollutants have serious impacts on the environment, public health and surrounding structures.
Air toxics: this is a list of more than 180 air pollutants that include volatile organic compounds (VOCs), organic chemicals, metals and their compounds, fuels, solvents, asbestos, benzene etc. These toxic air pollutants bear hazardous health and environmental issues even in trace amounts.
Greenhouse gases (GHGs): these are a list of 4 gases – carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), methane and ozone. These gases are the sole reason of the rise of greenhouse effect, i.e., the global warming on Earth.
Some of the air pollution control equipment that we use are:
Scrubbers
Air filters
Cyclones
Mist Collectors
Electrostatic Precipitators
Biofilters
For the control of water pollution we follow a water treatment procedure. The waste water generated by the industry is treated using effective treatment methods.
Preliminary treatment: removal of abrasive material like sand, paper, plastic, rags and other objects that can impart in clogging of the equipment. These materials are collected and sent to the landfill for disposal.
