CGWA NOC & Groundwater Consultancy

Project support for groundwater-abstraction NOC requirements, water-resource studies, hydrogeological inputs, water balance and related environmental documentation.

CGWA NOC and groundwater consultancy

Groundwater NOC support for applicable projects

Projects that propose groundwater abstraction may need permission from the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) or the relevant state groundwater authority, depending on project category and location. The technical requirement can involve water demand, source, abstraction quantity, groundwater status, hydrogeological information, recharge measures and compliance conditions.

P & M Solution supports industries, infrastructure, mining and other projects with review of the groundwater-NOC requirement, preparation of technical information and coordination of supporting water-resource studies.

Typical information required

  • Project location, land and activity / industry details
  • Proposed daily and annual groundwater requirement
  • Existing water source and current abstraction details, if any
  • Water balance, process use, domestic use, treatment and reuse
  • Borewell / tube-well information and groundwater-level data where available
  • Rainwater-harvesting, recharge and water-conservation proposals

Water-resource and hydrogeological inputs

Depending on the applicable requirement, the NOC process may need a hydrogeological assessment, groundwater-quality information, abstraction / recharge planning or other technical studies. These should use project-specific demand and site conditions rather than generic assumptions.

Connected environmental documentation

Groundwater commitments often appear in environmental-clearance, EIA/EMP, CTE/CTO and compliance documents. We coordinate the same water-balance basis across these submissions and our broader Water Resource Management services.

Official reference: Current groundwater-NOC guidelines and application information are published by the Central Ground Water Authority. Applicability and conditions vary by project and location.
